Welcome to New York, Marybeth, 2008
Tempera paint, butcher paper, Marybeth
'Welcome to New York, Marybeth,' was developed during a 3-week residency at the Jackson Hole Art Association in Wyoming. The residency concluded exactly one month prior to the March 14th opening of 'Latitude,' an exhibition in New York about interconnected-
ness. 'Welcome to New York, Marybeth' entailed flying friend and Jackson native Marybeth to New York for 'Latitude''s opening, at which she encountered, to her surprise, a hand-painted welcome banner on the wall. The project is a collaboration with Daniel Bouthot.
